So…what is this photo bus?
We would like to introduce you to our classic VW Bus named Gonzo. Hop into our wayback machine… it’s 1977, and Star Wars has just been released. Our Gonzo rolled off the production line as an ultra-rare, limited production Volkswagen Champagne edition bus. Fast forward to 2025… After hundreds of road trips and a careful restoration, Gonzo has been given a second life as a photo booth - one that invites you and your guests to experience a piece of Volkswagen history.
You don’t just get to take photos in this collector’s edition bus,
You get to be a part of its story.
How much space do you need?
We need a solid, level surface, whether indoors or outdoors. We also need space around the bus for our groovy prop tables.
The bus dimensions are: 7 ft wide x 15 ft long x 7 ft high
We’ll need a space that is at least 15 ft wide and 25 feet long (about 375 square feet).
We can even bring Gonzo indoors if you would like. Make sure you have written permission from the venue!
What is your setup/breakdown timeframe?
Ideally we like to arrive 2 hours before the booth start time, and we need about 45 minutes to break down and load out.
If you would like us to load in earlier than the 2 hour window, we charge $75/hour.
Do you provide an attendant?
Yep! Our trained Photo Booth staff will be there from start to finish and they're always groovy & fun!
Do you need the client to provide power?
We require one standard 120v receptacle that should be dedicated to the photo booth, and not shared with other electrical devices. Outlet must be within 50 ft of the bus.
We supply all our own extension cords, and necessary safety items to prevent guests from tripping. Well, at least "tripping" in the sense of falling that is :)
If power is not available at your event site, we can provide a generator for an add-on rate of $95 per event.
Is the photo booth a DSLR or iPad photo booth?
We are a DSLR photo booth (digital single-lens reflex, for you techies), which offers the highest quality pictures. We offer photo strips customizable to YOUR wedding or event theme, and you can pick from digital options like boomerang and GIFs. Far out!
How many people can fit in the booth at once?
A total of 5-6 people can fit in the frame, but it might require some lap-sharing or squatting on the floor. Most people tend to assemble in groups of 2 to 4 at a time.
Is there a photo limit?
Nope! Snap away! Need a solo pic of you wearing the unicorn hat? No judgements here!
Do you bring props?
We have a huge selection of props for all styles and personalities. Our photo props and bus decor come to you by way of up-cycling, thrifting, small businesses.
Is your photo printer one of those ones that takes forever to print out the photos?
Nope, it’s fast! It is considered the work horse of the photo industry, and it prints a photo strip in about 8 secs. Snap, snap!
What type of payments do you accept?
Gonzo may be from the 1970’s, but thankfully our payment system is a little more advanced! Payments are made through an e-invoice, and all transactions are encrypted and secure. We can also accept checks if that makes more sense for you. Our photo bus software manages our communications, contracts and payments in one secure space that both you and Soulshine have access to 24/7.
Do you carry insurance?
Yep! We have a comprehensive insurance policy & and can provide you or your venue a certificate of insurance (COI) and list them as additionally insured.
